ABOUT WGNS

Welcome to the website of the Weavers Guild of the North Shore!

We are a 501(c)(3) [EIN 87-0769879] not-for-profit group committed to the education and promotion of creative weaving and textile arts, serving the fiber artists of Chicago and the surrounding northern and western suburbs.

MEETINGS

We meet monthly from March through December, usually at the Unitarian Church of Evanston at 1330 Ridge Avenue, Evanston, IL 60201. Please visit this year’s Programs & Workshops page for locations and topics.

Our 2024 meetings will be held in person and also online via Zoom. If you are not a member but would like to attend a meeting via Zoom, please send an email to weaversguildnorthshore@gmail.com.

OUR LIBRARY

FINE ART OF FIBER (Annual Show & Sale)

First Weekend in November (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)

In collaboration with Illinois Quilters Inc. and the North Shore Needle Arts Guild, the Weavers Guild of the North Shore participates in the Fine Art of Fiber Show & Sale each November at the Chicago Botanic Garden. 

Members are encouraged to submit their woven work for sale or exhibit at the Fine Art of Fiber. Non-woven work must be juried in.
