Monika Neuland, Artist in Residence at the Chicago Cultural Center, has a new installation in the Garland Gallery, entitled Social Fiber. The installation has been designed as a public studio where people can gather amongst looms and textiles representing different cultures and time periods. Visitors can interact with the pieces in the installation as well as with the artist herself.
The installation is on at the Chicago Cultural Center through September, open 10am-4pm, Tuesday through Saturday, or by appointment.
Please visit the page about the installation on the City of Chicago website for more information.
